Iowa City, IA - A group of 20 or more members of Occupy Iowa City held a "whisper" mic check in protest of Michele Bachmann during a campaign stop at Hamburg Inn. The protesters chanted a script written to call attention to Bachmann's extreme stances on a number of issues.
The Sustainability Working Group will host two work days this weekend, Sat., December 10 and Sunday, December 11 from 10am - 4pm to remove the unnecessary items, and clean up the park. The Arctic Tent will be moved at 2pm on Saturday.

Mike Moran, director Iowa City Parks and Recreation, has indicated that the size of the structure being built is large enough that it requires a building permit and therefore cannot be constructed on public property.
The Occupy Iowa City movement held a march from their location at College Green Park to the Iowa City pedestrian mall on Saturday and a rally to speak out about the banking industry, corporate greed, and the notion of “too big to fail.”
